Our Experience

At J-Dek Investments Ltd., we apply our strength as a leading real estate investment firm to deliver solutions, unlock value and propel growth for our investors. While we specialize in mostly multi-family assets, we also have experience working with offices, skilled nursing home facilities, industrial buildings, drug rehabilitation centers, parking lots, and retail.

Our Executive Team

  • Elliott Jacobs

    President

    Mr. Jacobs is president of J-Dek Investments. Together with Joel Goldman, Mr. Jacobs co-founded J-Dek in 2011. In addition to  sourcing and structuring acquisitions, Elliott is responsible for all aspects of building and maintaining relationships with a network of corporate, and high net worth real estate investors. Prior to founding J-Dek, Elliott worked as an asset manager for Chelm Properties located in Solon, Ohio. Mr. Jacobs earned his International MBA from Bar Ilan University.

  • Joel Goldman

    COO

    Mr. Goldman supervises J-Dek’s Transactions Group, which sources and executes all acquisitions, dispositions and refinancing. As COO, he also oversees day-to-day operations for the company. Prior to founding J-Dek in 2011, Joel served as President of Nrex Investments Ltd, a real estate investment firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Partner, Ulmer Berne LLP

    Danny represents public and private companies on a wide variety of corporate law matters, including mergers & acquisitions, private placements, equity financing, securities law and regulatory compliance, joint ventures and general corporate matters. He also represents buyers and sellers in various commercial real estate acquisitions and sales, including multifamily, office, mixed use and skilled nursing facilities.

  • Fred Widen Esq.

    Partner, Ulmer Berne LLP

    Fred concentrates his practice on representing businesses, real estate developers, private equity companies, and other clients in taxation, real estate, business, and succession matters. Fred has extensive experience in income, estate, gift, sales, and property tax, and criminal tax matters on the international, federal, state, and local levels. Fred also assists clients in structuring business acquisitions and dispositions, Section 1031 exchanges and entity and assets transfers. Fred assists clients in preparing sophisticated business governance documents, including partnership, operating, joint venture and shareholder agreements. He has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers list and recognized as one of the Top 100 attorneys in the state of Ohio and Top 50 attorneys in Cleveland by Ohio Super Lawyers. In 2015, Fred was named a Client Service All-Star by BTI in a survey of corporate counsel.
